16 oz bag of Slaw Mix- I use tri-color
1/2 cup Sugar
1/3 cup White Vinegar
1 cup Salad Oil

Savory Kale Salad Recipe w/ Parmesan
Ingredients
3-4 tablespoons of olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice (one lemon)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 bunches black kale (lacinato, dinosaur, etc.)
1/2 cup grated parmesan — get the good stuff
1/4 cup toasted breadcrumbs

This super quick kale salad recipe will remind you of your favorite Cesar salad, but without all the dressing! It features my favorite deep dark green lacinato kale. You will love this recipe as a savory contrast to the sweeter Massaged Kale with Cranberries and Sunflower Seeds.
The lemon juice with a little salt magically wilts down the greens making them soft and luxurious. I like to give this one a quick massage speed up the process and make it extra tender, but you can also just let the lemon and salt work their wilting magic over a few hours. Raw Kale Salad - Sliced Raw Kale with Apples, Oranges, Persimmons & Nuts
Ingredients for 2 big or 4 small Raw Kale Salads:
1 head green kale
1 persimmon, sliced
1 apple, sliced thin or matchstick cut
2 seedless oranges, cut into segments aka “supremes”
handful of chopped nuts
For the dressing:
1 rounded teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 rounded teaspoon orange zest
1 tsp cumin, or to taste
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, or to taste
1 tbsp orange juice
1/4 cup rice vinegar (or white wine or sherry vinegar)
1/3 cup olive oil, or to taste
salt and pepper to taste

Hearty Kale & Walnut Salad!
Recipe:
a. Remove kale leaves from the stem, then wash several times with vinegar and salt
b. Put in colander and let drain for 2 hours
c. Place 2 tea towels on table and place kale on them, letting them air dry
d. Put in a bowl and add extra virgin olive oil, lemon, honey mustard, and Worcester Shire.
e. Massage for 5 minutes and then add salt, parmesan, and garlic, and then massage for 2 more minutes.#salad
f. After plating, sprinkle some walnuts on the salad
