Well, how would you eat this food? > All cooking destoys and deranges foods at the molecular level. Why are Humans intent on self destruction?
I think cooking was invented for meat eaters. I also thought about grains, such as rice and wheat. But those can be pounded, ground, and soaked in order for us to eat them.
The only other reason for cooking must be to blend flavors, as in soups and stews.
Maybe to eliminate germs and bacteria?
I know the most destructive form of cooking is the microwave oven. It should not be used for heating water because of the molecular changes. Never melt or heat anything in a microwave oven. I threw mine away years ago.
Macrobiotics teaches healthy cooking methods. Electric stoves are destructive. They recommend gas, wooden stirring utensils, and a counter-clockwise motion.
They also stress the importance of soaking beans and grains overnight before cooking them.
Good question. I look forward to reading more opinions.
